In 2021, Ford Motor Company and SK On announced a historic $5.6 billion investment to build a 3,600-acre mega campus called BlueOval City at the Megasite of West Tennessee. The $5.6 billion plant is one of the most expensive single investments in Tennessee history. Currently scheduled to become operational in 2025, the mega campus is estimated to create 6,000 jobs on-site, and 30,000 across West Tennessee.

Situated in Haywood County, a largely rural and majority black county which has suffered from decades of population decline, Blue Oval City is expected to bring historic economic change to West Tennessee.

The documentary will chronicle the transformation of this region from the perspectives of local residents.
